Isaac and History

Hi everyone out there, this is Isaac again.
I want to tell you about a trip that Daddy and I took the other day. He took me to Chickamauga Battlefield. This is where one of the big battles of the Civil War was fought. I remember this summer Daddy took me to Appomattox Court House where it ended, but this was something totally different.

As you can tell it was a very beautiful day fall day. I had lots of fun but I did not like the museum too much. They had a room filled with guns used in the battle and I did not like that much.

We went for a hike through the woods which I had a lot of fun with. Daddy tried to show me stuff but I was more interested in all the leaves. They made a fun crunchy noise when I walked through them.

I also like to stop on the trail and play with the rocks a bunch too.

There were lots of cannons in the park too. They were posted where the soldiers had their heavy artillery set up. I was very impressed.

There were also a lot of monuments in the park. I really liked these. Daddy would not let me climb on them though but that's OK.

There were also some old houses that were on the field of battle as well that I looked at. This one was full of lady bugs that chased me.

We took a break at one of the picnic tables in the park. With all that walking we needed a rest. Daddy's legs are much longer than mine.

All in all we had a lot of fun. I hope Daddy brings me back some more in the spring. The picture of me above just lets you know how cute I am.

I think the picture of Isaac being cute is the best he's taken yet! You need to have it blown up and framed! I'm actually going to have a print made so I can show people how good-looking my nephew is. :)

The cute picture also makes a great wallpaper. I have so many cute shots of my two grandsons, I hardly know which one to put up first!

Wait until the twins give them some real competition!!

Love,
