Joe St. Louis Trip

Dad has taken over again.

Although Isaac is not in any of these pictures I thought it would be neat to share the shots I got from St. Louis this past week.

There were several that will eventually end up on http://www.ballparkjoe.com/, but here are just a few.

No trip to St. Louis is complete without seeing the Arch. This was something truly amazing to see. This shot is taken on the northern end of the park.

Another part of the park is the federal court house where the Dred Scott case was tried. This used to be the tallest building in St. Louis but it is now dwarfed by the surrounding buildings, including the arch.

The best part of St. Louis in my opinion though, was getting to get an intimate tour of Busch Stadium.

This is the signage on the exterior of the stadium.

And this is the signage behind home plate. Yes I took while standing on the field. How awesome is that!

This is the view that the radio announcers get at every home game. This is taken from the spot where Joe Buck (the Cardinals famous announcer's son) sits.

Of course the best shot I got was to sit in the dugout of the St. Louis Cardinals. I got to stand in the spot where Tony LaRussa leans out of the dugout. Just one more thing you may see on TV where I can say, "Hey! I have been there."

Isaac gets a taste of driving

Joe has taken over again.
There comes a proud moment in every father's life when their son learns to drive.

Isaac got his first taste of driving last week. My uncle Chuck Claypool loaned Isaac his 1975 Corvette for a cruise around town.

Isaac is just getting the hang of backing the car up. He is doing pretty good though.
After a quick check of his mirrors, Isaac is ready to go.
Now he is driving forward. He looks like he has a handle on this driving thing.
Isaac is looking pretty good for his first time around town. He even knows to check himself out in the mirror.
Isaac is also showing how he can be a courteous driver. This is important to not be too aggresive.
What! Someone cut Isaac off. Look Out!
Isaac decides he is going to throw caution to the wind and hit the gas to catch up to the rude driver that cut him off. Go Speed Racer!
Now that he has finally caught up, he can give that driver a piece of his mind. Let's hope "Spike" doesn't show up.
"Why don't you watch where you going!"
