Easter 2014

Began the day with church, had lunch and an Easter eggs hunt with Aunt Kitty and Apple John and some friends, then took our Sunday naps. It was a beautiful and restful day!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter!

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Gramby Weekend

The weekend that began my fall break was exciting for everyone in the Delk household.

Andy got to spend the weekend with Grammy and Papa Delk. Fun was had by all! Andy loved being the center of attention! Apparently, he also loved being a song leader. :)

Abby got the spend the weekend with Aunt Boo, and Grammy and Papa Joe. Abby was in her element. She got to go shopping, be a Princess, and showed Aunt Boo what it's like living with a younger version of herself. My favorite part of this weekend was when Aunt Boo told me, "Now I understand."

Isaac got to come with Daddy and Mommy to Gramby weekend. Gramby weekend is a time when our Sunday school group gets together and invades Sharron's grandmother's house to play with guns and explosives. (fireworks)

Isaac did a great job of telling everyone the safety rules. When the range is hot, put on your eyes and ears!

A little video of our little marksman. (Just for you, Grammy Pat!)

I am proud to say that when it was my turn to shoot (for the first time in my life) I shot the target on the first try!-- the target was an empty detergent bottle. I stopped after that since I had proven my worth.

This little one made my weekend. She loved all the action and noise! (And the attention!)

I'm sorry I didn't get a lot of pictures. We'll have to do this again next year!

Happy birthday, Princess Julia!

This past weekend the Delks packed up the family car are drove to Nashville to go see their favorite Princess Julia. (We only know one!)

Aunt Jenny along with Julia's grandmommy (Jason's mom, not sure what they call her) created a Princess party like none other! Needless to say, the little girls (and boys) had the best time. (And this big girl enjoyed herself too!)

The Wright brothers are 1!!

You might remember from a {PREVIOUS POST} that the Wright brothers are our friends and neighbors in our neighborhood. They are Aunt Kitty and Apple John's twin boys.

They were born at 32 weeks, spent a while in the NICU, and had one doozy of a year at home. But, to look at them now, you'd never know they were premies. For example- they are wearing 18 month clothes. Here's a quick look at then and now.

Ben just born

Ben now! (with Aunt Kitty)

Ben was the second born, but he is first in gaining teeth (he has 5, and Matt has 0) and he got the first haircut. Matt has curls and doesn't need one yet.

Here are some pics from their birthday party, which was last weekend at the church.

I don't know why I didn't get a pic of Andy. I suck.

Here's a cute one of the Wright bros as Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Dr. Seuss week, and one in their new wagon.

Happy birthday, Wright brothers! Here's to many more years yet to come!

Thank you, Uncle JD!

Uncle JD went to UPLIFT at Harding University this past week. He supported the teens from Collegeside Church of Christ. I've never experienced UPLIFT, but I remember attending IMPACT at Lipscomb University when I was a teen. If one is anything like the other, than I know JD had a great time.

Uncle JD always thinks about his niece and nephews, so of course he got them presents!

Abby had to practice her poses before she settled on her infamous hands-on-hips pose. Check out her inner-monologue.

 What's my focus?

Should I go for innocent? Nah, no one would believe it.

This is harder than I thought...

What the heck. I'll just be me!

Isaac, caught in the middle of an interesting story.

I still have no idea what he was telling me.

Andy- got it on the first try!

Thank you, Uncle JD for always thinking of us!
