Better than the original!

Grammy Pat, you'll have to watch these on your computer, not the ipad.

Everyone knows that Abby loves to cheese it up for the camera. Today, she wanted to show off her singing.

Here's the original video, the song was introduced to Abby by Aunt Boo:

And here's Abby!

Now tell me she's not better than the original! :)

Let me entertain you!

Let me make you smile!
Now, not to name names, but I have in my house a little diva that just loves to entertain everyone.  She always has something to say, a look to share, or a song to sing.

In this case, she has a song... just for you! They must sing it at church. It's very cute! (notice how she doesn't like to share the limelight. Very diva-ish!)

God took care of me!

Not to be out done, Andy had to share too!

12 months are in a year!

More Labor Day videos

I can't load a lot of videos at a time, but Abby has to be seen being cute! The twins and I stayed the night Saturday while Isaac and Daddy went back to Ringgold. These videos were from Sunday morning.

Abby singing to Pooh Bear her rendition of "Rock a Bye Baby"

Itsy Bitsy Spider. And Grammy and Papa Joe eating breakfast. :)

Enjoy!

General Abby reporting for duty!

Abby's rendition of the ABC's. With something special added at the end...

We watched this again and Abby said, "I yelling, Mommy!" Then she did it again, even louder. Special child. :)

Twinkle twinkle

Isaac singing. Abby trying to butt in. Enjoy.

Pillow heads

This happened randomly and I just happened to have my camera handy. The video is not very good, but you get the gist. It started with Abby putting her pillow on her head for a few laughs. Ike and Andy were merely followers. Joe added the singing, and there you go.

After the singing.

Andy's new hat. He told me "hat".

And now, the song..

I'm not sure what song Joe is starting at the end. Doesn't matter. I just though it was hilarious that they all were ready to sing the "Pillow on their heads" song.

Ode to Uncle JD

For their birthdays, JD got the kids an Acappella Babies DVD which trains little ears to be able to pick out different harmonies. The kids LOVE it! On average, we watch it a million times a day. At least 3- all in a row. It's like Baby Einstein- only with Acappella music; complete with bright colors and random pictures of objects to catch baby's eye.

Between each song, there's a 'Learn to Sing' section, which takes the kids through the scales. You would not believe how well the kids do with it! Isaac and Andy are the most impressive. Abby tends to find something else to do after 1 or 2 songs. The boys will go through all the scales with the video.

It comes with a CD to listen to in the car as well. And we do... constantly. One of the songs is called "God's Fisherman" talking about how there are all kinds of animals, but we want to be God's fisherman. You'd have to hear it. Anyhoo- apparently when Joe and Isaac were in Walmart the other day, Isaac picked up a fishing pole and told Joe, "I'm God's fisherman!" Cute right?!

Well, today Isaac was playing and just started to sing one of the songs. I tested fate and got out the camera. Surprise... he didn't stop singing! If you listen carefully, you can tell he is singing the tune of "My Father's World". They don't sing the words in the video, just a lot of "la la la".

Ok, JD. You created this monster... you're paying for voice lessons when he gets older!
He's just following in the Delk tradition of being a talented singer!

Perhaps I had a wicked childhood...

Perhaps I had a miserable youth,
But somewhere in my youth, or childhood...
My mother was preparing her revenge.

My mother bought my children a Box of Torture. Far worse than Pandora's Box, which merely inflicted plagues and evils upon the world; this box unleashes headaches, flashes of nausea, and weeping and gnashing of teeth upon any unsuspecting adult in its vicinity.

I realize I might not have been the "perfect" child my mother had hoped for in her second born. I was stubborn, willful, and too smart for my own good; but really, she had Jennifer and Joanna to counter-balance my precocious antics, so what was the big deal?

Apparently, I was worse than I originally thought.
My mother took her revenge in an amazingly creative stroke of genius; under the guise of "encouraging the children's learning."

My mother bought my children a "Band in a Box".
WARNING: Don't stand too close.

The children love this evil instrument of torture. They love to stomp and sing while inflicting each piercing blow. They request the Box when they sing and roar with the dinosaur song. It's fitting that they equate the Box with evil lizards of mass destruction.

So, thank you Grammy Pat. You have encouraged your beloved grandchildren to join forces in slowly chipping away at my sanity; such that it is.

Your revenge is complete.

p.s. The kids really like the instruments, and I have talked to the music teacher at my school about how to use them educationally. Good job, Grammy Pat!! :)

Snow days

Well, the Delks have been stuck indoors for 2 days now, with another one on the way. Since no one seems to understand the torture that is 3 kids in a confined space, I dedicate this blog post to snow-crazed mothers everywhere.

My house yesterday. It looked the same today, why clean?

Cheesing

More cheesing

Abby dancing, I think.

We have had numerous dance parties with the Laurie Berkner Band, and Isaac wanted to show off his smarts. Here's what we got...

Here we are having a Dinosaur party! This was from today.

Here is Isaac showing off his counting skills. I would like to take credit for his brilliance, but it was really a video I use with my students that taught him. The video teaches kids to count by 2s, 5s, and 10s. He does a really good job with the video; but this was by himself.

Good times

The twins seem to enjoy being on the outside- where they can move to their hearts' content. Both of them will be early rollers, since they already know how to roll themselves to their sides.
Here they are singing during one of their sun trestments. They actually know how to scream in harmony. :)
Here they are during one of their naps. They just love being close.
This is the greatest picture! They were awake at the same time, and they were looking at each other! I think it looks like Andy just told Abby a joke and she thought it was hilarious.
Everyone has been wondering how Isaac is doing with the babies. Honestly, he doesn't give them much thought. He says, "Hi!" to them and will give them a high-five, but other than that, he ignores them. I think he feels secure that mommy and daddy still love him. Here is Joe holding Isaac and Andy.
