Twins taking a nap before bath time

When you're a parent of two very small children there are moments that you can't pass up not getting a picture. The twins were taking a nap before their bath time the other night. Thought you guys out there in the blogsphere might enjoy these.

Isaac at the park

We had our small group last Sunday at the town park in Ringgold. I figured I would post some pictures I took of Isaac enjoying the playground more than the small group discussion. Enjoy!

More of an update...just an excuse to post some pictures

Hello everyone out there. Just wanted to post some more pictures here on the blog and ask that everyone pray for Daddy and Isaac as we are leaving on our big 2009 baseball trip on Tuesday.
Isaac went to another Braves game (it is hard to believe that it has been over a month since then) on April 10, 2009. It was the home opener and Daddy slurged and got us tickets right next to the dugout.
Here is a picture of the dugout from our seats.

It was a really neat game. Ike got to meet Jeff Francoeur, right fielder for the Braves. He also got his big mug on the jumbo tron. Daddy and Isaac did not get a picture of that but it was neat to glance back and see nothing but our heads on the big screen.

The game started out well but it eventually started to rain, which put us in a 2 hour rain delay. Daddy took Isaac around and he played in the Cartoon Network Zone to play while we waited for the game to start back.
But all was not lost. Isaac stayed awake the entire game and only pitched a fit when we left the field because of the rain. He even stayed awake long enough to get a ball from 1st base coach Glen Hubbard.
The end of the game was pretty exciting since it went to extra innings. The Braves pulled out the win and Isaac got his picture taken as we were leaving the stadium. If you look close enough you can see the clock showing the time of 1:32 AM. Isaac was great but had a nice relaxing nap on the way home.

update

Well, the Delk house has been full of sickness.

Abby is over her UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), but her bladder is still refluxing into her kidneys. She is currently on medication for that, and will go back for a check-up in 6 months.

Andy is currently on his 5th ear infection. He is also being treated for thrush, which he got because of all of his medications for ear infections. Woo-hoo. On the plus side, our pediatrition is now on board for ear tubes.

Isaac is doing great! He still has snot everywhere, but I figure that will go away once he is away from day care for the summer. He is loving all the baseball games with Daddy, and has to sleep with no less than two baseballs at night.

He is also adding to his verbal and nonverbal vocabulary. He adds the sign language that we have taught him to all the words that he knows. On Friday he informed me that he wanted pizza and ice cream for dinner, so that is what we had. He also adds, "What's up?" to his, "Hey!" when you talk to him.

Mommy and Daddy are doing well. Daddy is working hard at work, and Mommy is hardly working. (just kidding) I am, however, looking forward to the end of school. Only two more weeks with kids!!! Then I have a week of in-service- which is fine with me.

Atlanta Braves 4-4-09

Hello Everyone. Just wanted to share Isaac's first game of the 2009 season with you.

Isaac, Grandpa Joe, and I went to the last Spring Training Game of 2009 this past Saturday between the Detroit Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. Thanks to Stub Hub, we got really good seats (at least it was the closest I have ever been at Turner Field),

Isaac seemed to have a lot of fun. He did not want to leave the seats even when Grandpa Joe tried to take him to the play ground. It does seem odd for a 2 year old to want to stay and watch the game over a playground. I am not complaining though.

Above is a shot of us in our seats. Unfortunately the guy who took the picture had us a little off center. At least he was nice of enough to take the picture.

I think Isaac really enjoyed being this close to the action. (Daddy did too.)

We got to get close to take some really great shots of some of the players as well.

Above is Placido Polanco of the Detroit Tigers.

This is pitching prospect Tommy Hanson when he came into the game.

Carlos Guillen spent most of the game in front of us.

Here Isaac is ready to get into the lineup as a pinch hitter. I think he could have taken on the Detroit pitching.
Well all in all it was a fun time. Isaac will get one more shot at a big league game before we start in on the minor leagues this coming Friday when we are going to the Braves opener. Hopefully it will not rain. Thanks to Stub Hub again, we got even better seats. Right next to the Braves dugout! Maybe Bobby Cox can get some pointers from Isaac on when to pull his bullpen pitchers.

Party at daycare

We had a small party for Isaac on his birthday. We shared the day with Brayden who was celebrating his first birthday. ( Isaac was on Friday and Brayden on Sunday) Here are some cute pics of the kids enjoying their sugar-fest.

Here is Isaac enjoying his snack. He loved the chee-tos, but not his cupcake. (I don't understand it)

Here are Alli and Colin. They know how to enjoy cupcakes.

Andy is just fat and happy.

Abby doesn't know what is going on, but she likes the attention of the camera.
Here is Kennisha holding Andy. Kennisha teaches first grade.
Here is a happy Abby.

Some more "Artsy" Pictures

Hello everyone. I am still playing with the Black & White options on my camera. I hope you don't get tired of it. I promise there will be some color ones on here soon.
I thought I would add 4 more pictures. Especically since Andy finally got in on the action.

Here is one of Isaac doing a Calvin Klein ad. (You have to be close to my age to remember the underwear commercials.)

This is Isaac sitting in his froggy chair. He had decided it was better to wear no clothes after eating all his rice.

Finally Andy was awake and willing to give me a grin. It took some time but we finally got a shot of it. Sometimes he just doesn't want to grin and laugh.

This is Andy doing his best impression of Uncle JD. He is really singing it like he means it. "Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen...See the little baby...."
Later,
Joe
