Well, that is Andy's song obviously! We sing it every night before we go to bed. Of course, the others are jealous that God and Andy share a song, so we have to sing verses for them as well.

Easter

It's about time, right?

I was a good Mommy and remembered to take pictures before they ruined their outfits. I was a bad Mommy because I got them as we were trying to get in the car for church. We might have been a little rushed.

 Isaac picked out the hat himself! I made sure they matched. :)

Abby's pretty Princess dress. We could only find one bow, but that was good enough for her! One of these days we'll figure out the hair thing.

Aunt Boo is an editor at the Upper Room, which is a Methodist publishing house in Nashville. Mostly they publish devotionals and prayer books, but this month they hit it big...Robin Roberts!!

Lucimarian Roberts and her daughter Robin worked together to write the story about Lucimarian's life. It's been published through the Upper Room and they hosted a Tea and signing party.

Do you see Aunt Boo? I'm so proud, I could burst!

And, the book was mentioned on Good Morning America. If you go to around minute 50, you'll see the mention. There's a clip of the Roberts' signing, and you can see Joanna's hand! Her hand is famous!

Well done, Boo! The Upper Room is lucky to have you!

An Early Easter Miracle

It's the power of the Magic Tree.
Aunt Jenny found the Magic Tree months ago when she had her kids pictures made professionally, then decided to try some on her own. The pictures in the tree were wonderful and we decided to try and see if the tree is still magical. Guess what? It is!

My kids do love their cousins! When they play around the house they pretend to be Joshua and Julia. :) We are going to have to play a lot this summer. I'm feeling another water day, Aunt Jenny!

Of course, we weren't in Murfreesboro just for the tree! It was a birthday/ Easter visit. We celebrated Isaac and Joshua's birthdays and the Easter bunny visited early.




That was fun. Andy did eventually get the idea of looking for eggs.

A few weekends ago I got to take the twins to a birthday party for one of their Sunday school friends. The party was held at the Chattanooga Zoo.

Waiting for cake. I need to point out that when everyone else had eaten what they wanted of their cake and had gone to look around, Abby stayed with her cake and ice cream until the very end. That's my girl!

Hello!

The title is to be read with a British accent. (right, Aunt Beth?)

Yes. it has been forever since we have posted, so here are pictures that I have taken over the past few weeks.



Here's Abby cleaning up the living room.

Joe has started teaching the kids the basics of economics by paying them for services around the house. Each kid has his/ her own mason jar with their name on it. Cleaning up the living room and bed rooms is worth 25 cents.

Abby is saving for a baby doll, Andy is saving for a Thomas the Train, and Isaac has already bought a Hot Wheels and is now saving for everything he sees on Cartoon Network.



Abby is picking up her new dollhouse. The dollhouse came to us from Aunt Kiki. Kiki bought it for baby Ansley, but the pieces are still too small. Abby gets to play with it until it is Ansley's size.

Just to update everyone, I was not chosen as one of the 3 Hamilton County Teachers of the Year. Instead, it went to 3 suburban teachers. I'm still working on not being bitter. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

That's not going to stop me from being the best darn urban teacher I can be. In fact, I have big plans for this summer. I plan on going through the Common Core Standards (what the US is now using instead of separate state standards) and making activities to go with the different units.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood

It was such a pretty day today that the kids and I went to the school across the street to play on their playground. The kids had a lot of fun, and Aunt Kitty came with her twins too!

They never do what I want them to. *sigh*

They had to get a little help.

She's such a big girl!

What amused me the most about their playing was that Isaac and Abby were dare-devils, while Andy was careful. Abby climbed over everything and Isaac ran around, but Andy always told me where he was, and didn't climb anything unless a sibling had gone first.

Also, I have a little good news.... I am my school's nominee for Tennessee Teacher of the Year!

I've turned in my application and I'll find out by the 10th if I was chosen as a Hamilton County Teacher of the Year. From there, I would go to another level. It's like a beauty pageant, but without the swimsuit competition.
