Play time

Here are pictures of play time. This summer we don't do a whole heck of a lot. Miss Laura, the nanny, comes three times during the week to watch the kids so I can get work done around the house. We have had morning outings to the zoo, the park, the mall, and McDonalds (the playland). Aunt Kitty has to come with us, or we would never have enough room for everyone. Anyhoo- here are some pictures of us playing around.

I have found that laying a sheet on the floor for them to play on is the best idea ever! I just throw it in the wash every night and they play all day! (It was Grammy Pat's idea)

Abigail is the more inquisitive twin. She wants to get into everything! She will roll, crawl, reach, and squirm until she has what she wants. She goes all over the room and is most interested in Isaac's books and sippy cups, and anyone's toes and shoes.

Andrew is not as interested in testing his boundaries. He is satisfied with the toys on the blanket and only rolls when he sees that Abby is coming towards him. He is not as proficient at crawling as Abby yet, but he does notice how mobile she is and I can tell he is jealous.

He is very proficient at growing teeth; he now has 3 to Abby's 0.

Isaac loves to make the twins laugh. When they are in their bouncy seats or in the ExerSaucer, he will get right in their faces and laugh. They love it.

Here is Isaac being good for the camera. It doesn't happen often.
Here is Andy enjoying his carrots. There are no fun pictures of Abby eating because she would never allow herself to be photographed with food on her face. She is much too dignified.

Father's Day

By looking at the title, you can tell this is long in comming. I had the great idea that the men in my life should attend church in matching outfits. Joe grumbled the ENTIRE time, but I got my way. I think they are adorable! I borrowed an outfit from Aunt Kitty (Melissa) for Abigail.

This is not the best picture, but all three are looking at the camera. Aren't they adorable?!

Joe made fun of me because I had to make faces while taking pictures to keep the twins' attention. Abby's outfit has bumblebees and yellow pantaloons to match the boys.

Here is a happy Abby.

Here is a serious Andy.
It wouldn't be a good blog without artsy-fartsy pictures of the twins.
There would be more of Isaac, but once he has gotten his one shot, he is done. Joe had a good Father's Day. He got cards from the kids and myself, along with lots of kisses.

Minnesota Trip - First Pics

Hello everyone out there! This is Isaac posting on the blog. Daddy and I just got back from our trip to Peoria, IL; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL and Indianapolis, IN. We had lots of fun. I have so many stories to tell in the next few days from our trip that happened but first I just wanted to share some pictures of me in all those places.

The picture above is when Daddy and I went to Chicago to Millennium Park to see "The Bean." It was a really neat sculpture in downtown Chicago. Of course, I would not pose the way Daddy wanted me to.

I was really amazed by my reflection in the sculpture. I had a lot of fun staring at myself in it.

Daddy and I got our picture made in the Milwaukee Brewers' radio booth. This is right after I got my diaper changed in Bob Uecker's bathroom. I can almost hear him saying: "That's just a bit smelly."

Daddy also got my picture made in the Brewers' dugout. Now I have been to two dugouts in the major leagues.

Above is a picture from last year when I was in the Washington Nationals dugout.

I also got a chance to play on the field at Miller Park. Above is a picture of me breaking for a fly ball in center field. Actually, I was just getting ready to run on the grass again.

Daddy also took me to Wrigley Field. I did not get to see a game there, but it was pretty fun to see one of the oldest parks in the big leagues.

Well I will tell you the stories later how I almost got dad in trouble with the police in Minneapolis and how I got a free ball in Milwaukee because I pitched a fit, but for now I am just waiting on the next big trip with Daddy.

Twins taking a nap before bath time

When you're a parent of two very small children there are moments that you can't pass up not getting a picture. The twins were taking a nap before their bath time the other night. Thought you guys out there in the blogsphere might enjoy these.

Isaac at the park

We had our small group last Sunday at the town park in Ringgold. I figured I would post some pictures I took of Isaac enjoying the playground more than the small group discussion. Enjoy!

More of an update...just an excuse to post some pictures

Hello everyone out there. Just wanted to post some more pictures here on the blog and ask that everyone pray for Daddy and Isaac as we are leaving on our big 2009 baseball trip on Tuesday.
Isaac went to another Braves game (it is hard to believe that it has been over a month since then) on April 10, 2009. It was the home opener and Daddy slurged and got us tickets right next to the dugout.
Here is a picture of the dugout from our seats.

It was a really neat game. Ike got to meet Jeff Francoeur, right fielder for the Braves. He also got his big mug on the jumbo tron. Daddy and Isaac did not get a picture of that but it was neat to glance back and see nothing but our heads on the big screen.

The game started out well but it eventually started to rain, which put us in a 2 hour rain delay. Daddy took Isaac around and he played in the Cartoon Network Zone to play while we waited for the game to start back.
But all was not lost. Isaac stayed awake the entire game and only pitched a fit when we left the field because of the rain. He even stayed awake long enough to get a ball from 1st base coach Glen Hubbard.
The end of the game was pretty exciting since it went to extra innings. The Braves pulled out the win and Isaac got his picture taken as we were leaving the stadium. If you look close enough you can see the clock showing the time of 1:32 AM. Isaac was great but had a nice relaxing nap on the way home.

update

Well, the Delk house has been full of sickness.

Abby is over her UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), but her bladder is still refluxing into her kidneys. She is currently on medication for that, and will go back for a check-up in 6 months.

Andy is currently on his 5th ear infection. He is also being treated for thrush, which he got because of all of his medications for ear infections. Woo-hoo. On the plus side, our pediatrition is now on board for ear tubes.

Isaac is doing great! He still has snot everywhere, but I figure that will go away once he is away from day care for the summer. He is loving all the baseball games with Daddy, and has to sleep with no less than two baseballs at night.

He is also adding to his verbal and nonverbal vocabulary. He adds the sign language that we have taught him to all the words that he knows. On Friday he informed me that he wanted pizza and ice cream for dinner, so that is what we had. He also adds, "What's up?" to his, "Hey!" when you talk to him.

Mommy and Daddy are doing well. Daddy is working hard at work, and Mommy is hardly working. (just kidding) I am, however, looking forward to the end of school. Only two more weeks with kids!!! Then I have a week of in-service- which is fine with me.
